Plastering in Hull
Skimming, Replastering & Finishing Work

Service Overview

Good plastering is the foundation of a well-finished interior. It is the trade that everything else, paint, wallpaper, tiling sits on top of, which means poor plasterwork shows through everything. BuildFastHullLimited carries out professional plastering across Hull and East Yorkshire to a standard that holds up over the long term, not just on handover day.

Plastering Hull

Plastering Services We Offer in Hull

Skim Plastering

Skimming is the application of a thin finish coat of plaster over an existing surface, typically plasterboard, old plaster, or rendered block. It produces the smooth, even wall surface required before painting or wallpapering. We skim individual rooms, whole properties, and commercial spaces across Hull.

Full Replastering

When existing plaster is crumbling, blowing, or heavily cracked, common in Hull’s older terrace stock, a full replaster strips back to the brick or block and applies a new scratch coat and finish. We replaster individual rooms and entire properties, and we carry out the necessary preparation work to ensure the new plaster bonds correctly and does not fail prematurely.

Patch Repairs

Not every plastering job needs to be a full room. We carry out patch repairs to localised areas of damage following pipe or cable repairs, after damp treatment, or where plaster has been disturbed by previous tradespeople. We match the surrounding finish as closely as possible and leave the surface ready to redecorate.

Dot-and-Dab Plasterboard

For insulating against cold walls or achieving a straight surface on uneven brick, dot-and-dab plasterboard is a fast and effective solution. We install plasterboard across wall surfaces and skim over to achieve a finished wall, a technique commonly used in Hull’s older properties where solid walls make direct plastering difficult.

New-Build Plasterwork

We work alongside our Building Construction Hull and Loft Conversions Hull teams to provide internal plasterwork on all new-build and conversion projects. Consistent in-house plastering means no handover delays waiting for a separate sub-trade to become available.
