Skilled joinery is one of the most visible trades in any construction or refurbishment project. From the staircase in a loft conversion to the fitted wardrobe in a new bedroom, the quality of carpentry work defines how a finished space feels to use every day. BuildFastHullLimited provides both bench joinery, items made in our workshop and installed on site and site joinery, the structural and first-fix timber work carried out during construction.
First fix carpentry is the structural timber work installed before plastering, stud partition walls, floor joists, roof timbers, window and door linings, and staircase stringers. We carry out first fix as part of our wider Building Construction Hull and Loft Conversions Hull projects, and also as standalone packages for builders who need reliable carpentry on their own sites.
Second fix is all the visible joinery work after plastering is complete — skirting boards, architraves, window boards, door hanging, and staircase balustrades. Getting second fix right is what separates a well-finished room from one that looks built rather than crafted.
We design and build bespoke fitted furniture for homes across Hull, fitted wardrobes, alcove shelving, built-in storage, TV units, and home office cabinetry. Bespoke fitted joinery makes better use of awkward spaces and achieves a quality of fit and finish that off-the-shelf furniture cannot match.
For internal layout changes, room divisions, and creating en-suite bathrooms, we build timber stud partition walls, framed, insulated, boarded, and ready to skim. We also remove existing stud walls as part of open-plan conversion work.
For larger structural applications, ridge beams, purlins, valley boards, flat roof joists. Our team works with the structural timber elements that carry real loads. All structural timber work is specified in line with building regulations and coordinated with our structural team where required.
